Dynacorp management may benefit from their formal positions and authorities,contributing their leverage to block impractical initiative or support significant initiatives. They can use the 4 parts of speech to improve communication among different departments and erect a powerful coalition withother teams. For instance, Ms. Pauley (BM) could set a meeting with Mr. Walker (VP) (framing) to discusstheir opinions, the potential problems, and whether they need to stop the initiative or continue with it(Inquiry), and provide practical solutions, including training employees to develop their attitudes, knowledge,and teamwork skills, which are essential to get them back to the market as successful as they used to beinitially (advocacy and illustrating).This would contribute managers to be more focused on revenue andmargin goals and not being worried about the performance measurement system.

Recommendation : The Company's executive heads (Mr. Greystone and Mr. Walker) should also setanother meeting with the sales team to explain and clarify the established goals to improve the sales team'sperformance, commitment, and determination.
