XYZ, was the first all-electric car brand to enter the US car market. It was considered a disruptive innovation characterized by inefficient battery life and a small number of customers willing to buy EVs. Over the years, the company brought significant improvements to its batteries and also invested in developing its own software. XYZ now holds more than 40% market share of the EV market but still struggles with profitability. On the other hand, customers around the globe have become more environmentally conscious and with gas prices hiking up, the size of the global EV market size has grown substantially. Governments around the globe are prioritizing the use of EVs for sustainable living. The company's management is considering going international.
