Suppose that a random sample of 100 students is drawn from a population of 3000 college students. Among sampled students, the average IQ score is 115 with a standard deviation of 10. What is the 99% confidence interval for the college students' IQ score?

Considering that the average IQ test score at national level for the population in the same age range is 110 (standard deviation of 7), how likely is it that the students admitted at that particular college are randomly selected? Do you think that the school applies some sort of entry selection? If yes, do you think that the selection is efficient? Why? Please provide the details of your calculations.
