Several years ago the mean age of an inmate on death-row was 39.3. To check and see if the mean age of an inmate on death-row has changed, we randomly selected 41 death-row inmates and found that the mean age is 37.5 with a standard deviation of 9.8. How do I construct a 99% confidence interval about the mean age and what does that interval imply?
