Patients with moderate to severe allergic reactions were trained to focus their minds on specific locations where their allergies do not bother them, such as a beach or ski resort. In a sample of 64 patients who received this training, suppose that 47 showed reduced allergic reactions and 17 showed an increase in allergic reactions.
