Using the the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, reflect on the leadership definition noted below;
“My definition of leadership as it stands today is to establish strategies and plans that will organize, develop and lead the team to reach our business goals. Based on my current experience the following areas are my primary focus for my team members; making sure they understand their value, recognition, one on one communication, how we connect to the company strategy, team building, and personal development. The most important value that I have is my integrity. I demonstrate honesty and trust in all my actions to establish credibility as a leader. By having this conviction behind my words and actions, those who I lead hopefully gain buy in to the direction I take them. I gain commitment from my teams by influencing and persuading them to set specific objectives and buy into the process. I believe that if we establish cooperation and cohesion, we can obtain any goal.”
