In 1978 James McGregor Burns introduced the concept of transformational Leadership. Since that time Transformational Leadership has been at the center of our understanding of great leadership. Recently others have expressed additional views, reframing how we should view leadership and the characteristics of leadership.

Egdar Schien has introduced us to Humble Leadership and Helping. Gail Fairhurst espouses the ideas of Discursive Leadership.

Over the last forty years, how has the concept of leadership evolved? How do you see yourself within these frameworks.
