Too Many Selfies Advanced smartphones and easy uploads to social media sites have led to an increase in "selfies." The dramatic increase in these self-portraits and the use of the word made "selfie" the Oxford Dictionary 2013 Word of the Year. Despite their popularity, a recent study suggests that those who share more self-portraits experience less intimacy with others.35 A random sample of social media users was obtained and asked for the number of selfies they had shared within the past month. In addition, each person took the Intimacy Attitude Scale (IAS) test, which measures a person's willingness to share feelings, fears, and concerns.

a. Compute Spearman's rank correlation coefficient.

b. Lower values on the IAS test suggest the person is less inclined to be close and personal. Explain the meaning of rSin the context of this problem.
