Calculate your quantities of starting materials requaired in order to obtain a yield of 0.5 g of aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid).
Reaction: Salicylic acid + Acetic anhydride --> acetylsalicylic acid + acetic acid
Note: Acetic anhydride must be in a three-fold excess (i.e 3:1 mole equiv) to the Salicylic acid.
