INSTRUCTIONS: Use a table to help you solve for the variance and standard deviation.

1.) Find the variance and standard deviation of the probability distribution of the random variable X, which can only take the values 1, 2, and 3, given that P(1)=10/33, P(2)=1/3, P(3)=12/33.

2.) Compute for the variance and standard deviation of the probability distribution of the random variable Y, which can only take the values 3, 5, and 7, given that P(3)=7/30,P(5)=1/3, P(7)=13/30.

3. ) Find the variance and standard deviation of the probability distribution of the random variable W if P(W = w) = (w + 1)/20 for W = {1,2,3,4,and 5}.
