Looking at the Cold War from a Western perspective, one could rejoice in the fact that there is no more 'Evil Empire', and no more Iron Curtain. In fact, all of the threats and all of the restraints of the Cold War seem to be gone. Should the world be concerned it can no longer in relative terms distinguish who the 'bad guys' are any more?
