The question presented is whether global warming affects the choice of a consumer purchasing a fuel-efficient vehicle?  The objective is to break the problem down into a comprehensive list of research questions for which you would need answers in order to make informed recommendations about the direction the company should pursue. For each of those questions, identify all viable methods (extant data, focus groups, mall-intercept survey, online survey, phone survey, etc.) for obtaining data and the limitations of each method. Then select the best method for each question and provide the rationale for your selection (such as cost, availability of the data, etc.). Keep in mind, the best method may not be the ideal method. Time and resources often dictate the choice of the data collection method. Your organization may simply not have the resources to conduct expensive market research.
