What do the Barbarian Invasions, the Crusades, and the Voyages of Exploration show about the changing relationship of Europe to the outside world over the course of the Middle Ages? How did this changing relationship reflect changes within Europe?

Any thoughts? I'm a 22 year old psychology major with a 4.0 trying to get my bachelors and this is my final paper for Europe in the Middle Ages (I am not very good at history although i am currently holding a B+/borderline A...I just have to get an A on this last paper. I am trying to organize some notes now-it is due on Tuesday and I just feel lost. Any chance that you love this topic and can throw out some main ideas/points for me to work on/add to?
