America in its ever changing evolution is in the precepts of social indignations when it comes to immigration, leading to race clashes and political upheaval. While there are some in society ready for change there are others who are not. Deep lines are being drawn on the subject, that will forever change the fabric of our country. There is a call and need to vocalize the need for change when it comes to immigration reform practices. To have I.C.E. (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) picking up non-violent immigrants off our streets, or pulling them apart from their families literally by force is not the American dream promised. It is the American nightmare realized. The latter may be reminiscent to behavior which some left their own countries to escape. Behaviors that are malign by America when done in other countries, are now being seen taking place here, with frequency and diligence.   America was once the shores of relief and hope, are we to rethink this thought and take into consideration that instead of open shores what America is to become is the land of walls.

The recent actions taken in this country toward immigration has and will test nonconformists ideology on the subject. "Not all persons speak as readily and freely as they once dared to. Nonconformism, which was once tolerated if not admired, is now suspect (Dionne, 2007).    There must be direct and vehement dialogue to the subject and happenings if there is to be change on the terms of immigration of those who enter and to the course of action of those whom are already here and a part of the fabric of this country. "One reason we don't have Europe's enclaves is our unique success in forging an ethnically and religiously neutral national identity, uniting individuals of all backgrounds" (Muller, 2014, pg. 337). ...In about 300 words.
