When forming ideas on marketing strategies for Anchan, it is important to understand the main challenges faced with the subsidiaries in India, which is why the following factors should be considered and incorporated into the marketing recommendations:

  • Educating consumers
  • Product differentiation to match diverse demographics in India
  • Producing low-cost yet high quality products
  • weak buying power and purchasing decisions because of low disposable income
  • Competition in the market

Similarly, when making strategic marketing recommendations for Herrmann it is important to consider the following factors:

  • Creating a product suitable for those in poverty
  • Lack of communication channels
  • Uneducated customers
  • Lack of research on target market
  • Building relationships with 'mommas'

One thing to remember when making recommendations is that these international locations are places that face extreme poverty. Figuring out how to deal with poverty and underdeveloped countries must be factored into strategic decisions.
