Upon graduation from FDU, you begin your career in a supervisory position at a small but emerging hotel corporation. The HR Director has discussed with you his concerns regarding the high turnover rate at the property. He shares with you the costs that are involved in employee turnover and that one of his goals is to increase employee retention. With this in mind, he explains that part of your responsibility is to develop new training programs and orientation sessions for new hires. Your job is to plan a unique and interesting general orientation session. Make your plans as detailed as possible. Remember that one major purpose of general orientation is to help new employees develop motivation and enthusiasm for their work.
