Q1) A study was conducted in young adults to look at association between taking driver's education class and risk of being in the automobile accident. 450 participants were included in study, 150 cases who had been in the accident and 300 controls who had not. Of the 150 cases, 70 reported having taken a driver's education class. Of the 300 controls, 170 reported having taken driver's education course.
Compute and interpret suitable measure of association between driver's education and accidents
Question arise as to whether gender might be the effect modifier of this association. When gender was assessed, data looked like the following:
Women
Men
Accident
No Accident
Drivers Ed
10
50
60
120
No Drivers Ed
40
80
Carry out the suitable calculations to test for effect modification. Interpret your results.

Use the t test to determine whether the slope of the regression model is significant at α = 0.05.
Formulate the hypotheses that can be used to test the validity of the brokerage firm executive's claim.
Compute the sample variance and sample standard deviation as a measure of volatility of monthly total return for Chevron (to 2 decimals): Sample variance and Sample standard deviation.
The null hypothesis is to be tested at the 10% level of significance. The critical value from the table is:
Suppose population standard deviation for those drinking regular coffee is 1.20 cups per day and 1.36 cups per day for those drinking decaffeinated coffee.
In addition, record the values for the UCL, center line, and LCL. Also, record any points that are out of control. Use a z-value of three.
Compute SS, variance, and standard deviation for following population of N = 7.Scores: 8, 1, 4, 3, 5, 3, and 4. The definitional formula works well with these scores. Use the definitional formula to compute SS.
One state lottery has 1000 prizes of $1, 200 prizes of $5, 50 prizes of $25, 15 prizes of $150, 4 prizes of $500, and 1 prize of $2500. What is the lottery expected profit per ticket?
We are asked to test for independence between age (i.e., adult and teen) and drink preferences.
At the .05 significance level, is there a difference in the mean number of calls per day between the two employees?
