Suppose a company of table salt claims that the net weight of salt is more than 1 kg. Ten measurements (in kg) are listed as follow:

0.95, 0.98, 1.04, 0.92, 1.00, 0.96, 1.01, 0.98, 1.07, 0.98.

Assume that the weight of salt from this company follows a normal distribution.

(a) Calculate the sample mean and sample standard deviation for these data.

(b) Construct and interpret a 90 % confidence interval for the population mean weight of salt.

(c) Test whether the average of the net weight of salt is more than 1 kg with significance level 2%.
