Calculate the percent error in the experiment using the experimental mass of CuO and the theoretical mass of CuO. The percent error is defined as follows.?
This is in Short AnswerDecomposition of Malachite %error= experimental value-theoretical value/theoretical value X100
My notes for the lab are: We placed an empty crucible onto the balance and recorded it's mass to be 88.000g.
We then removed the crucible and added 10g of copper (ll) carbonate hydroxide and placed it back on the balance to recorde the new mass to be 98.000g.
We then took a Bunsen burner and put the crucible containing the 10g of copper (ll) carbonate hydroxide on top at low heat.
The color before heating was bright green. The color after heating on low heat was black.
The mass of the crucible after heating under the Bunsen burner was 95.195g
What is the theoretical yield of aluminum oxide if 1.60 mol of aluminum metal is exposed to 1.50 mol of oxygen?
Give the percent yield when 28.16 g of CO2 are formed from the reaction of 5.000 moles of C8H18 with 4.000 moles of O2. 2C8H18 + 25 O2? 16 CO2+ 18 H2O
The methyl benzoate and acetanilide react with HNO3, H2SO4, and glacial acetic acid. Need to know the possible products and then the one that actually forms.
The iridium is plated out from the solution onto a boron doped diamond electrode at constant potential. The initial mass of the electrode before plating was 7.4938 g
Solid CaF2 is shaken with a 0.010M solution of NaF. What will be the concentration of Ca2+ ion in the resultant saturated solution? (Ksp for CaF2 = 4.0 x 10-11)
Assuming there is no overpotential, Predict the products formed at the anode and cathode during the electrolysis of ZnCl2 in water
The half-life of Plutonium-239 is 24,000 years. If 10 gms are present now, how long will it take until only 10% of the original sample remains? Round your answer to the nearest 10,000th.
Z- is a weak base. An aqueous solution of NaZ is prepared by dissolving 0.350 mol of NaZ in sufficient water to yield 1.0 L of solution. The pH of the solution was 8.93 at 25.0 °C
Ammonia gas is condensed at its boiling point at 1.01325 bar at -33.4c by the application of a pressure infinitesimally greater than 1 bar. To evaporate ammonia at its boiling point requires the absorption of 23.30 kl/mol. Calculate
Why is it more difficult to precipitate cupric acetate (verdigris) than cupric carbonate hydroxide (malachite)
Suppose that microwave radiation has a wavelength of 11.2cm. How many protons are required to heat 245mL of Coffee from 25.0 C to 62.0C? Assume that the coffee has the same density,
