Problem - Natural gas, essentially pure methane is being pumped through a 1.016 m ID pipeline at a rate of 41.00 kg/s m2. Assuming the flow is isothermal at 288.8 K, and the inlet pressure p1 = 683.5 x 103 Pa and the exit pressure is p2 = 170.3 x 103 Pa. Calculate the maximum velocity that can be obtained if p2 is lowered.
