A thin plate (0.7 m wide by 2 m long) is towed through water at a velocity of 1.1 m/s. Calculate the drag force on both sides of the submerged plate assuming that

(a) the boundary layer remains laminar, and

(b) the boundary layer becomes turbulent at the leading edge.
