0.1ml of a water sample from Lake Chabot was added to 9.9ml of sterile water. This was mixed well and further diluted by 4 serial 1:10 dilutions. 1.0ml of each dilution was plated on a nutrient agar plate. After incubation, colonies on each plate were counted and the results are shown below:
