The choices were "more strict," "less strict," and "about the same." The choice "less strict" was selected by 30% of the respondents (Mazzuca, 2004).

a. What is the sample proportion that answered "less strict?" Use appropriate notation.

b. Calculate the standard error of the sample proportion.

c. Calculate a 95% confidence interval for the population proportion. Interpret the interval in a way that could be understood by a statistically naïve reader.
