Recently, a bridge in Baltimore was destroyed by a cargo ship. Several lives were lost of lives and the supply chain of goods and services to and from the Port of Baltimore was severely interrupted. This accident became a national crisis. The bridge debris and the malfunctioning cargo ship have been removed. The Port of Baltimore has reopened. Congress has given Baltimore the authority to build a new tunnel and bridge. The good news is that you have been selected as the senior project manager for this massive project, from a national competition of project managers. Your first assignment is to develop a plan of action and present that plan to the Governor of Maryland and the Federal Port Authority. This plan will require you to incorporate your project and quality management skills. In short, you are to tell the leadership team how this project will move from a concept to reality.
