According to a recent study, many factors affect feed intake of chickens and, therefore, egg production.13 For example, lighting, noise, and water may all affect the efficiency of poultry production. A study was conducted to determine whether the feed intake of chickens (in kg/day) is affected by flock size and/or temperature.

a. Construct a two-way ANOVA summary table.

b. Use a = 0.05 to test the following hypotheses: (i) there is no effect due to interaction; (ii) there is no effect due to flock size; and (iii) there is no effect due to temperature.
