1. A continuous beam ABCD is constructed of built-up sections whose effective flexural rigidity EI is constant throughout its length. Bay lengths are AB=1m, BC=5m and CD=4m. The beam is simply at B, C and D, and carries point loads of 20kN and 60kN at A and midway between C and D respectively, and a distributed of 30kN/m over BC. Determine the bending moments and vertical reactions at the supports and sketch the BM and SF diagrams.
2. A continuous beam ABCD is simply supported over three spans AB=1m, BC=2m and CD=2m. The first span carries a central load of 20kN and the third span a uniformly distributed load of 30kN/m. The central span remains unloaded. Calculate the bending moments at B and C and draw the shear force and bending moment diagrams. The supports remain at the same level when the beam is loaded.
one disadvantage to using wireless nics is that they and the infrastructure needed to support them are currently
Two semiconductor materials have exactly the same properties except that material A gives photoluminescence at 1240nm and material B at 1033nm. Determine the ratio of ni for material A to that of material B for T=300K.

Sketch the amplitude spectrum of a DTMF signal with finite duration. You should make this sketch by hand, using the Fourier transform expression obtained in part 1). What happens to the DTMF spectrum when T is "too small"
Find the expression for the total equivalent capacitance for an array of n capacitors with arbitrary capacitance C1,C2,...,Cn; when they are connected a) inseries and b) in parallel.
1)Design the following function in BiCMOS using the least amount of transistors (RTL not allowed). z= (AB)' + (CD)' 2)Calculate the Emitter current through a loading Resistance of 10k such that VOH=2.3V.
First fill in the Truth Table, then find the minimum product of sums equation using a karnaugh map, and finally draw a schematic of a minimized circuit implementing the logic using NOR Gates.
Construct a nontrivial resistive circuit with at least two loops and at least three resistors in each loop. Verify Kirchho's laws for this circuit both theoretically and empirically. Notice that this item is more open-ended; i.e., there is more ro..
Write an assembly program that reads a list of characters from the keyboard and writes the sorted list in ascending order to the console screen, over and over again. Any lowercase letter should be translated to the corresponding uppercase letter
calculate inductance of sensor for air gap of 1mm and 3mm?
A large number, n, of closely spaced turns of fine wire are wound in a single layer upon the surface of a plastic sphere of radius, R, with the planes of each turn perpendicular to the axis of the sphere and completely covering its surface.
Design a single state amplifier that satisfies the following specifications. State the transistor used and show all equations. 1. The voltage gain is greater than or equal to 0.9 and less than or equal to 1.0 2. The source resistance is 10k ohms
