People's life in a desert. Choose one of the following examples/locations and answer the questions pertaining to the research about this location:

Bedouin in Sahara and Arabian deserts,

or the tribes in Namibia,

or Aborigine in Australia,

or Inuit of Canada/ USA,

or the Eskimo of Finland, Sweden, Norway, Russia in the Arctic cold desert.

What type of difficulties do people go through while living in remote places? How small are their communities? What type of services do they have? What is the quality of medical services? How long is the average longevity span? How well-balanced is their diet? Are they considered healthy by the international standards? In order to pose the question WHY, I suggest you focus on medical facilities maintenance and staffing, or educational opportunities and choice. And of course, do not forget the income people earn while living in the remote places.

Provide two types of educational sources of your research: local and international. See quality criteria for size and sources in the current syllabus. Geography assignments are statistical and factual investigations with some answers to the question 'why?'
