You are to write a design concept for a product or place applying age-based psychological considerations. The design concept must include two possible design concepts providing a distinction between two unique customer profiles: (1) a child or children of any developmental stage up to 12 years of age; and, (2) an adult or group of adults at least 60 years of age. Provide a background on the considerations regarding psychological stages of development. Address the following considerations at a minimum, "What aspects of the design support learning/conditioning for each customer profile?"And,"What aspects of the design were included to promote interest/intrigue/curiosity for each customer profile. Include any design aspects you believe are based on psychological considerations. You must state your design concept including both proposed designs, then explain and support it each idea with scholarly resources. Write at least three, but no more than five, pages. One page may be an illustration(s).
In accordance with academic requirements for NSAD, use formatting standards from APA Manual, 6th Edition. As a starting point, APA standards dictate the following: Times New Roman, 12pt font; double spacing throughout the document, and indented paragraphs. There are specific standards for citing a reference within the text and for listing it in the reference list according to the APA Manual. Make sure you follow these standards. You are required to cite at least three scholarly* references, with the text book counting as one of them. You will include a properly formatted Reference List, and a Title Page, each on a separate sheet of paper. The remaining pages may be 2-sided to save paper if desired. All references cited must be current (published between 2010 - 2020). Remember, this assignment is about your design concept, but the considerations MUST BE supported by scholarly references.
*Scholarly reference refers to information from recognized experts in their field. Wikipedia and other generic websites do not constitute a scholarly resource. You can use online resources, but they must be credible, properly cited, and listed in the reference list.
