The mixing of influences from the time of Christopher Columbus' Discovery of America for Europe and the beginning of the Columbian Exchange that became a global exchange of people, animals, crops, products, ideas, religions, governments, diseases, and artistic expressions from the end of the fifteenth century to the present.

Please elaborate about one aspect of this Columbian Exchange. What? Who? Where? When? How? and Why?

Please describe one aspect of Mestizaje and explain how it formed a new tradition in America. Do not choose the mixing of people in their genetic make-up. Focus on how the new society changed in things for example like food, celebrations, housing, and cultural customs that you can point out reveal the cross-influence of the Precolumbian world and the European world. There are many examples from which to choose but please elaborate on only One example. Please focus on how Mestizaje was not just genetic mixing, but the formation of a new society through many influences.
