Assignment
We make designs to solve problems, but sometimes our designs create problems too. When you design something new, asking "What problems will this cause?" and "How can I deal with them?" can make your designs better for everyone.
Find a product that makes your life better. If you like making music, for example, you could choose your favorite instrument.
Think about a problem that this product causes. Maybe it's difficult to find a place to play your favorite instrument. Maybe it's fragile, or parts of it of it wear out quickly. Maybe it takes up a lot of space and gets in the way of other activities.
Make a journal entry about the product. This activity is mostly for you. Use words and images to organize your thoughts and understand why you feel this way, and what you can do about it.
Include this information for each design:
1. An image of the product
2. What is it? What does it do?
3. How does it make your life better?
4. What problem(s) does it create? Get the instant assignment help.
5. How does that problem affect you? How would solving the problem make your life even better?
6. Are there designs that already address the problem? What are they? What do they do? How well do they work? How could they be better?
7. What are 2 different ways you could solve the problem?
