Working with Tabs, Tables, and SmartArt Graphics

Perform the following tasks:

1 Click File on the ribbon, click Save As, and then save the document using the new file name, SC_WD_3_DonorTableAndSmartArt.

2 In the line containing the table title, Donor Categories, remove the tab stop at the 1" mark on the ruler.

3 Set a centered tab at the 3" mark on the ruler. Move the centered tab stop to the 3.25" mark on the ruler.

4 In the line containing the SmartArt graphic title, Donor Funds Distribution Chart, remove (clear) all tab stops.

5 Bold the characters in the Donor Categories title. Use the ‘Increase Font Size' button to increase their font size to 16. Use the ‘Decrease

Font Size' button to decrease their font size to 14. Change their color to Blue, Accent 1, Darker 25%.

6 Use the format painter to copy the formatting from the table title paragraph to the SmartArt graphic title paragraph (so that the SmartArt graphic title has a centered tab stop at the 3.25" mark on the ruler and has the same text formats).

7 Apply the underline style called Thick underline below the characters in the Donor Funds Distribution Chart title. Change the underline color to Orange, Accent 2, Lighter 40%.

8 In the table, select one of the duplicate rows containing the Butterfly category and delete the row.

9 In the table, select one of the duplicate columns containing the Recognitions and delete the column.

10 Insert a column between the Amount and ID columns. Fill in the column as follows:

Column Title - Email Updates Butterfly - Quarterly
Swan - Quarterly Owl - Monthly Bison - Weekly

11 Insert a new row above the bison row. In the first cell of the new row, enter the word, Elk, in the cell. Fill in the cells in the remainder of the row as follows:

Amount - $500

Email Updates - Monthly ID - Card & Pin Discounts - 10% in store
Recognition - Online & Paver

12 In the Table Style Options group (Table Tools Design tab), ensure that these check boxes have check marks: Header Row, Banded Rows, and First Column. The Total Row, Last Column, and Banded Columns check boxes should not have check marks.

13 Apply the Grid Table 6 Colorful - Accent 4 style to the table.

14 Select the entire table. Change the font color of all text in the selected table to Blue, Accent 1, Darker 25%.

15 Position the insertion point at the end of the Donor Funds Distribution Chart title and then press ENTER. Clear formatting on this new line and then center the insertion point on the line.

16 On the blank line below the title Donor Funds Distribution Chart, insert a Diverging Radial SmartArt graphic (in the Cycle category). Add two shapes to the inserted SmartArt graphic.

17 In the SmartArt graphic, enter the text, How your donations help, in the center shape. In the exterior shapes, starting with the top and moving clockwise, enter this text: Riverbed clean-up, Educational outreach, Trail maintenance, Landscape restoration, Research programs, and Visitor center operations. (Note: if the placeholder text does not appear, open the Text Pane to add the text.)
