1. A small fast-food restaurant in Hoboken has the following characteristics: It has no seating area, each customer arrives, parks his/her car, receives his/her order and goes. The restaurant has 6 parking spaces available. Currently, the customers are arriving randomly at a rate λ = 5 cars per hour, following a Poisson distribution. The fast-food restaurant currently has one server who serves each customer currently on an average every 6 minutes, following an exponential distribution. The company has hired you to analyze their business and propose a set of potential alternatives that should include: 1. Analyze the existing system, 2. Change the existing service process: a. Hiring an additional server to aid the one server to improve the service time, b. Change the service process to have the same service time and zero variance, c. Change the service process to follow a uniform distribution with the same average service time - You define the service range of the distribution. 3. Analyze the existing system with more than one parallel and identical servers, The report should have a set of Excel Sheets for each model used including one summary sheet that will include a summary table. Each Excel sheet should include a text showing the Mathematical model and its main parameters at a minimum. All results from all other models should be updated automatically at the summary table.
