FACTS:

XYZ Co. is your employer and a growing social media platform that is hoping to capitalize on users leaving Twitter. The lead for the content moderation team just informed you and you informed the executives that there has been an influx of postings about four individuals who live in a the RosyPath neighborhood. Each post includes a picture of an individual, the individual's address, asserts that they are involved in human trafficking and proclaims that someone needs to do something about it because the police won't. Some of the posts include video clips that appear to support the assertion. The lead content moderator has checked - the video clips are deep fakes. The individuals all work for well-known law firms. The only other thing linking the individuals is that each has worked on prosecutions at the International Criminal Court.

The misleading postings are being promoted heavily by XYZ Co.'s AI-powered content algorithm. Current users are trying hard to find the posts, and they are sharing them on the platform. New users are joining to see the posts. XYZ Co. decides not to adjust its algorithm until the four individuals make complaints directly to XYZ Co.
