Prepare an Extensive Report

Extensive Report about

Each student is required to write an extensive laboratory report. The report must include the following tasks:

1. Flow under sluice gate.

2. Hydraulic Jump in open channel flow.

3. Determination of pipe fiction factor.

4. To determine loss of head & power loss due to sudden expansion.

OBJECTIVE:
To analyze different types of flow in open channel as well as in pipes with different boundary conditions.

OUTCOMES:

To verify the fluid flowing in open channel as well as in pipes and justify their numerical results with experimental observations

Abstract

Open Channel Flow is defined as fluid flow with a free surface open to theatmosphere. Examples include streams, rivers and culverts not flowing full. Open channel flow assumes that the pressure at the surface is constant.

Introduction

The classifications of type of flow are made according to change in flow depth with respect to time andspace

Discussion

1- Flow under sluice gate

2- Hydraulic Jump in open channel flow

3- Determination of pipe fiction factor

4- To determine loss of head & power loss due to sudden expansion
