Each student will be assigned a publicly traded firm from the Standard and Poor's 600 index (S&P 600). The assignment for each student is to prepare a report on your firm that covers the following points:
1. Introduction (what does the company do?)
2. Discuss the industry and competition
3. Corporate governance (the management and board of directors)
4. SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats)
5. A discussion of financing, investing, and operating activities.
6. Cash flow, profitability, and credit analysis.
7. A chart of the weekly stock prices for the semester.
8. Major financial events that occur during the semester that may explain some of the price shifts you observe.
9. Equity valuation including a recommendation regarding this firm as an investment.
