Overview:
This assignment requires you to research dynamic developments in the global business environment and analyse their impact on the competitiveness and strategy of an industry/company of your choice. You will be assessed on your ability to critically evaluate a range of literature and information from various sources, synthesize concepts and arguments, and evaluate alternative plans of action and their implications. This exercise aims to enhance your personal and professional development within your industry/company.
Requirements:
PESTEL Analysis: Conduct a PESTEL analysis to understand the wider business environment.
Five-Force Analysis: Assess the attractiveness of the industry using Porter's Five Forces framework.
Strategic Direction: Consider potential strategic directions for the business and provide recommendations on market and product categories to focus on for growth and sustained competitiveness.
Strategy Development: Develop a corporate strategy, a business strategy, and a marketing strategic plan to implement your recommendations.
Global Business Impact: Analyse the impact of dynamic developments in the global business scene on the competitiveness and strategy of the company.
