You have been invited to be interviewed as Independent Director for two (2) different sports on their Board/ Executive Committee [NOT Australian Canoeing]. You need to do your due diligence research to decide which of the opportunities you will accept - if any.
Choose one (1) international-level and one (1) Australian sport organisation with publicly available governance reports [including those below/ provided on LMS for example] to compare and contrast. Reflect on what you have learnt about your own skills, experience, leadership style, values and emotional intelligence to assess what you might bring to the role. Referring to what you have learnt on governance and ethical leadership from the readings provided, your own research and classes:
(a) analyse the governance and ethical issues presented using the tools provided;
(b) outline your priority three (3) questions you would ask during the Nominations Committee interviews;
(c) consider whether you have any pre-conditions for joining the Board/ Executive Committee; including what they are and why; and
