TASK 1
From a technical viewpoint you need to consider your design in:
- Analyse network operating systems integration and authentication methods according to network authentication model and select one authentication model and provide reason foe selection.
- Research redundancy and replication requirements for required authentication model
Draw Network Design of integrated servers along with attributes like file sharing, login, and security
TASK 2
You are expected to demonstrate an ability to perform following key tasks:
- Install and configure integrated server by implementing authentication solution according to server design specifications
- Implement integrated file sharing solution according to the needs of server design.
- Configure workstation to get internet access on the virtual machine.
- Implement required integrated server environment security according to server design specifications
Monitor and test Server and document test results and evaluate performance of tested modules to make required changes.
Analyze document error reports or test results and identify errors in the system.
- Troubleshoot server and network integration issues and test the changes
- Interpret their results to evaluate their performance and validate changes against specifications by troubleshooting them and interpreting their test results.
TASK 3
You are required to create appropriate documents and close the project by following tasks:
- Document server configuration and its operational changes.
- Document client report, notification server status and restore the worksite to client's satisfaction.
- Obtain sign off form from the appropriate person.
SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS
- VirtualBox / Vmplayer
- An ISO file such as Windows 2016 R2 server, windows, and Linux workstations.
NB: The newest version of Windows Server is Windows Server 2019 released officially in 2019, however, the college will provide you an installation CD/ISO of earlier Windows Server version for your convenience.
Today Linux is free and open-source OS, which is a full-featured version of Unix. You are more than welcome to use the Linux server OS if desired.
