An air compressor is designed to compress ambient (assumed to be 100 kPa, 20C) to a pressure 1 MPa. The heat transfer rate to the ambient is anticipated to be equal to 10% of the power input to the compressor. The air enters at 50 m/s where the inlets cross-sectional area is 0.009 m2 and leaves at 120 m/s through the exit with cross-sectional area of .0005 m2. Determine 1) the exit -air temperature 2) the power input to the compressor.
