A mass of 6 kg lies on a horizontal surface with friction, initially at rest. The coefficient of static friction is 1.44 and the coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.55. One force of 17 Newtons is applied to it upwards (in +y direction). If a force of 249 Newtons is applied in the +x direction, what is the amount of friction acting on the mass in Newtons?
