In this assessment, you will use Generative AI (ChatGPT) to explore your professional identity and prepare for your future career. GenAI will act as your career coach.

Assessment Description
This assessment develops your ability to work with AI as a professional tool while reflecting on your identity, strengths, and career goals. It prepares you for an AI-integrated workforce where human judgment, ethical awareness, and contextual understanding are essential.

Assessment Instructions

Stage 1 Preparation: step 1 to step 3

Step 1: Prepare Your Resume & Job Ad

Use the same job advertisement as Assessment 1 if possible (if this isn't possible, contact your Facilitator for an alternative arrangement). Save as a Word file to use with GenAI.

Fix your resume and REMOVE all personal identifying information (NO address, phone number, or personal email). Save as a Word file to use with GenAI.

Step 2: Run the ChatGPT Simulation

Copy and paste this prompt (editing the fields in brackets):

My name is [First Name Only]. You are my career coach. I am applying for the following role: [Job Title]. Here is my anonymized résumé: [add the resume file]. Here is the job advertisement: [add the job ad file].

You are not here to give me feedback or answers, but to help me reflect and clarify my thinking through structured coaching questions.

Please follow this exact sequence:

Ask me one coaching question about my strengths, weaknesses, values, or career goals.
Wait for my answer.
Then ask one follow-up question based on my response.
Wait for my answer.
Then ask me a second coaching question on a different topic (still related to strengths, weaknesses, values, or goals).
Wait for my answer.
Then ask a follow-up question based on that response.
Wait for my answer.
Then ask me one interview-style question relevant to the role.
Wait for my answer.
Then ask me a second interview-style question.
Wait for my answer.
End the session.

To keep the conversation focused and consistent:

ChatGPT must ask exactly six (6) questions in total (2 coaching questions + 2 follow ups questions + 2 interview questions)
1st coaching questions + 1 follow-up question
2nd coaching questions + 1 follow up question
2 interview questions
You must reply after each question and after each follow-up (6 replies in total).
Each reply must not exceed 120 words. (not included in the word count)
Stop once you have answered the second interview question. Do not continue or ask for extra feedback.

Step 3: Save the Transcript

Copy all GenAI questions and your answers into a Word document.

Include only the six required questions and your six replies.

Label each exchange clearly. (e.g. ChatGPT question, My reply)

Stage 2: Analyse, Reflect, Review and Submit: step 4 to step 8

Step 4: Annotate and Critique (≈300 words in total)

Use Track Changes / Comments to analyse the conversation (both GenAI questions and your answers). Things to focus on include:

Were GenAI's questions useful, realistic and relevant?
Did your answers show your strengths and limitations clearly?
How could you improve?

Where relevant, you may draw on relevant ideas or models/frameworks (e.g., STAR, WEF skills, GROW, PERMA or any other models/leadership and management concepts)

Step 5: Refine or Rewrite ONLY Your Interview Answers (150-200 words each)

Select your two interview answers and either:

Rewrite the answers using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) if they were weak or incomplete; or
Refine the answers (e.g., strengthen outcomes, clarity or alignment with the job ad) if they were already strong.
Add a short annotation (1-2 lines) explaining what you improved and why.

Step 6: Reflective Analysis (400-500 words, included in word count)

In your reflection YOU MUST refer to insights from your own GenAI conversation, use your own words and include one example from your internship experience. Discuss the following:
How useful were the AI's coaching and interview questions?
What did you learn about your strengths, values, or career readiness?
How did your replies show your communication and self-awareness?
What will you do next to support your professional growth?
