Assessment Instructions
Students will receive a pre-reading document in Week 4 which should be reviewed as part of the preparation of this assessment.
Groups are required to prepare a slide deck following individual and group research to be completed in-class during Week 5 workshop.
Each group will present their findings and advice through an in-class individual presentation during the first half of the week 6 workshop.
The slide deck must include intext references and a reference list. A variety of sources should be used including academic journal articles, textbooks, websites, regulatory bodies etc. Each source must be referenced as per KBS referencing guidelines including in-text citations
Your task
You are part of a working party tasked with advising Moka (your client) in relation to their current governance, accounting and reporting, performance management, and remuneration practices.
Your General Manager
Your lecturer is your team's General Manager throughout this task and will:
- Assign parts between your team is an agreement cannot be reached (refer below);
- Be available for consultation of up to 1 1/2 minutes per team member during the task (note -they are not able to answer the questions for you but may provide general feedback on approach or sufficiency). It is recommended that you use this resource wisely.
Allocation of case study parts
Each team member is required to take responsibility for, and present one section of the assigned case study. This will ideally be agreed upon. If a dispute persists, your lecturer will assign sections to your group.
Where your team has four members, each of Parts A, B, C & D are to be assigned to different members - each of which requires 3 slides to suitably cover your analysis. The team is collectively responsible for a background slide and a references slide.

Slide deck
All submissions must be made by editing and populating the pre-formatted slides provided. If you cannot fit your key points adequately on your slide, you will need to rephrase.
Presentation (week 6)
As the second part of this task requires a short presentation in Week 6, it is recommended that you retain notes as detailed as necessary to ensure that you can advise your client adequately. These notes are not required to be submitted. Remember, you only have 2 1⁄2 minutes per person to present your analysis.
The team member assigned Part A is permitted 1 additional minute to briefly introduce the client and its background information. The coverage of the background is for the audience's benefit and does not form part of your assessment.
