Instruction - Write an individual assignment of up to 3,000 words by answering the following case:

Due to petrol prices increasing in recent months, Abid decides to sell Porsche sport car and keep only his Toyota car for his family use, He places an advertisement in his Porsche sport car window on 1st September stating: For sale sport car with excellent condition at RO 6,000.

Sulaiman seeing the advertisement earlier that day, decides to contact Abid that evening, and arranges to inspect the sport car. After inspecting the sport car, Sulaiman said that he will contact him, if he's still interested.

On 3rd September, Khalid calls Abid of inspecting the sport car and negotiating it to buy at RO 5,500. Abid is delighted and says 'how about RO 5,750?' Khalid said that he needs to discuss this with his wife. Abid tells him to call back the following day at 6:00 pm.

Khalid contacted Abid on his mobile phone at 7:30 pm; however, the phone is switched off and there is no facility to leave a message. Khalid tries to call Abid the following day, however Abid is at a meeting so he sent a message saying that he definitely wants the Porsche sport car at RO 5,750. Abid was so busy and was not able to read his messages until late that afternoon. Khalid then tries his mobile in the evening but it's still switched off.

Bashar, a car dealer, contacted Aaron the next day (5th September), stating that he's really interested in the Porsche sport car, and arranges to meet Abid during his lunch break to inspect the car. Abid meets Bashar and accepts an offer of RO 6,000 where sale was made. After an hour, Sulaiman and Khalid contact Aaron demanding the car for the advertised price.

Abid is delighted with the sale of his Porsche sport car and decides to purchase a pair of Gucci shoes in Abdullah Shop, near where they completed the deed of sale. When he enters the shop, he sees a price tag by a pair of Gucci shoes for RO 50. When he gets to the till point, the cashier scans the barcode on the box and informs Abid that the shoes are RO 80. Abid refuses to pay RO 80, and demands her should have the shoes for RO 50.

Bashar drove the car home but along the way, the steering became defective which resulted to Bashar's accident. He suffered spinal major injury. He was operated and confined in the hospital for 5 months. The Porscher sport car was totally damaged. The insurance of the car expired before the sale.

Given the above case problem, answer all the following questions:

1. Identify and analyse each legal issue in relation to the relevant laws on business contract with regards to:

a. Sale of Porsche sport car

b. Sale of Gucci shoes

Support your answers with relevant laws in Oman and theories or concepts.

2. Identify and analyse each legal issue in relation to the relevant tort laws. Support your answers with relevant laws in Oman and theories or concepts.

3. Provide advice to:

a. Abid with regards to Bashar, the sports car, and about the Gucci shoes.

b. Bashar about his accident and the Porsche sport car.

c. Abdullah Shop about the demand of Abid regarding the Gucci shoes.

d. Sulaiman and Khalid about the Porsche sport car.
