Add: According to Straw and colleagues (2013), it is widely recognized that the world is in a state of constant change, with the rate of change accelerating. This rapid evolution results in shorter lifespans for businesses. Without leaders who promote ambitious visions, there is a risk of diminishing relevance over time. Therefore, it is essential for leaders at every level to demonstrate courage. Showing courage can be difficult, but boldness is not always the leader's fault. Straw, et al (2013) asked what keeps leaders in your organization from being bolder? In my experience as a leader, I was never given the power to be bold. In a situation where you are a leader without enough power to be bold, how do you make yourself heard? How do you make those above you feel less uncomfortable with the boldness to help empower you?
