Think about an authentic performance assessment you have designed or will design for your unit: Upon which specific standards will the performance assessment be based? (You will need to provide an electronic copy or link to the standards document in your posting.) What will students do or create for an authentic performance assessment in this unit? How does the authentic performance assessment help prepare your P-12 students for college and career readiness? Why, in your opinion, is the performance assessment worth the time and effort? By Day 3 of Week 3 Post a description, based on this week’s Learning Resources, of how the authentic performance task you have designed in this unit will lead to higher levels of student learning rather than simply spending time “covering” discrete pieces of knowledge that may be on high-stakes tests.
