1. First carefully check for any typing mistakes in the data.

For example I noticed the birth year for some students as 1933 which is possible (theoretically) but still it is good to check.

2. The next step is coding of the data as follow. Area: rural = 1, urban = 2 Education: Lower = 1, Inter = 2, High = 3 Profession: Med = 1, Eng = 2, Own business = 3, H.Wife = 3, Teach = 4, Other = 5 Income: Four levels = 1, 2, 3, 4 Q1: Three levels: 1, 2, 3 Q2: No = 1, Some = 2, Strong = 3

3. After that we need to find the descriptive statistics like mean, variance, standard deviation etc. for some selected variables.

4. Find the relation of question 3 with some of the factors you think important as motivators of choosing the medical profession. Why do you choose these factors?

5. Run a regression with question 3 as dependent variable and four important factors as independent variables. Interpret the results.

This will only be the data analysis part of your project.

The project report should include the introduction, literature review, methodology and data, results, conclusion, references and appendix.
