TECHLIB Plus microcomputer based software package:
This is yet another comprehensive package based on BASIS plus, one of the world's leading Document DBMS and Text Retrieval Systems. It is designed to streamline and facilitate all day to day operations of a fully electronic library.
The package provides facilities for patron access, catalogue maintenance, circulation, serials management, acquisitions processing and MARC cataloguing. One of the most significant features of this package is that image references can be stored directly on the databases created through TECHLIB Plus. In other words, users can access images and information stored In databases developed using BASIS Plus DBMS and Text Retrieval System. The package also provides direct access to information contained in Current Contents. TECHLIB Plus is flexible and is simple to customise. It conforms to your library's unique profile and then maintains that profile in new releases of the software. It is built to accommodate continued growth and diversion both in document collection and computing requirements.
