Steps to develop microprocessor based computer system, Electrical Engineering

Assignment Help:

Explain in brief steps to develop a Microprocessor based computer system.

The design of a microcomputer system should begin with the CPU module. It modules establishes the fundamental system timing, give an orderly means of starting up the processor, and give access to the system buses.

The second step is adding Memory, this is necessary to the stored program computer. By this unit CPU fetches instructions directing this in some task. But in a particular computer system there may be some types of memories all with its own hierarchy.

The third step is adding input/output: It is also termed as has user interface. Here basically two hardware methods for getting data in and out of a computer. First one is the parallel interface and for microprocessor it is the most natural. The second technique is the serial interface.
