Overloading:
Similar to packaged subprograms, methods of the same type can be overloaded. That is, you can use similar name for various methods if their formal parameters differ in order, number, or datatype family. When you call one of the methods, the PL/SQL finds it by comparing the list of the real parameters with each list of the formal parameters.
You cannot overload 2 methods if their formal parameters differ only in parameter mode. Also, you cannot overload 2 member functions that differ only in return type
Using the Collection Methods The collection methods below help to generalize the code and make collections easier to use and also make your applications easier to maintain:
Relational Operators The relational operators permit you to compare randomly complex expressions. The list below provides the meaning of each operator:
Scoping Within the similar scope, all the declared identifiers should be unique. So, even if their datatypes differ, the variables and parameters cannot share the similar name.
Interesting properties of CROSS JOIN - SQL Compare these with the "interesting properties of JOIN", CROSS JOIN is associative but not commutative. Unlike JOIN and NATURAL JOI
LONG and LONG RAW You use the LONG datatype to store the variable-length character strings. The LONG datatype is such as the VARCHAR2 datatype, except that the maximum length o
Exceptions An exception is the runtime error or warning condition that can be predefined or user-defined. The Predefined exceptions are raised implicitly through runtime system
Obtaining a natural join by specifying the common columns Synatax: SELECT * FROM IS_CALLED JOIN IS_ENROLLED_ON USING ( StudentId ) However, a named columns join doe
If two relations R and S are joined, then the non matching tuples of both R and S are ignored in __________________.
Example of COALESCE operator Example: Give the total of marks for each exam (simplified solution) SELECT CourseId, COALESCE ((SELECT SUM (Mark) FROM EXAM_MARK AS EM
INSERT Statement The INSERT statement adds fresh rows of data to the specified database table or view. Syntax:
