Inspection and testing of vessels, Mechanical Engineering

Assignment Help:

Q. Inspection and testing of vessels?

The Vendor shall be responsible for all inspection and testing. WorleyParsons reserves the right to inspect vessels or parts of vessels at any time during fabrication to ensure that materials and workmanship are in accordance with the governing Code(s) and this Specification.

All pressure vessels shall be stamped (U1 or U2) in accordance with the requirements of the ASME Code, unless specified otherwise by WorleyParsons.

Vessels manufactured outside of Canada shall be registered with the ‘National Board of Pressure Vessels'.

All vessel materials, including attachments thereto, shall have traceability.

When specified in the Purchase Order, Positive Material Identification (PMI) shall be carried out in compliance with Specification GS902.07.

The Vendor shall provide a detailed Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for each vessel. The ITP shall include all manufacturing, fabrication and inspection steps and sequences, for review and approval. A typical ‘Jurisdictional Travel Sheet' is not an acceptable substitute, without prior approval.
